Outdoor Fixed P10 LED Displays
Many consumers have asked us, can an outdoor fixed LED display function with a dimmer? In other words, can it be used as a night light or as a form of security lighting for your outdoor space? The answer is "yes." The outdoor fixed P10 LED display uses a low-energy LED (or "white light") inside an acrylic enclosure to project bright, colorful, clear images onto your deck or patio. This technology allows you to create beautiful displays that can be used indoors and outdoors.
The outdoor fixed P10 LED can be installed inside the home or on the property (on the exterior) in two ways. The first method of installation involves mounting the display on the wall with brackets. To determine the correct pixel pitch, multiply the width and height by ten. For the second method, which requires a deeper acrylic cabinet size, refer to the manufacturer's specifications to identify the exact pixel pitch.
With either method, you should prepare the acrylic cabinet size and pre-drill into the ground in a precise location. You should then apply a silicone caulk to seal the location and prevent moisture from entering. The plastic trim should be positioned at a distance of eight inches from the actual display and one inch outside the actual display lens. You may need to verify the manufacturer's specs for the proper pixel pitch for the outdoors and mount location before installation.
The actual mounting process involves fastening a flat mount bracket inside a standard cabinet size. You should then position the display against the flat surface and then screw the bracket into place. The LED lights are powered by a single DIN female connector. You should then secure the LED to the bracket with stainless steel screws. The final step is to install the battery pack (if applicable) and secure the wires to the mounting strap using tighten fittings.
